Introduction and Purpose: Arts Trussville is a community-centered arts organization in Trussville, Alabama, whose purpose is to reflect, support, and promote all forms of artistic expression within the city of Trussville, Alabama, through Arts events and educational opportunities.
This Gateway Art Festival will be our newly established organization's second juried art show since November 2023.
Event Location: Trussville Gateway Entertainment District
Artist Set up 9 am to 11 am
Artist Breakdown: 5 pm
Artist Responsibility: Each artist will be assigned a space measuring approximately 12 x 12 feet. Artists are responsible for their display materials, tents, and sales tax reporting. Artists will provide and set up their own 10 x 10 tents and display them in the Gateway, ensuring that their tent is weighted down. There will be no power available and very little shade available.
Cost: Each 12 x 12 space fee is $100, payable to Arts Trussville by the August 1, 2024, deadline. Payments are accepted by check, Pay Pal, or Venmo. Failure to meet the payment deadline will result in the forfeiture of your application.
Refund Policy: These payments are non-refundable.
Weather Policy: The Art Show is scheduled to be held rain or shine. However, the venue may cancel the show and Bluegrass Festival due to severe weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that emerge. Arts Trussville is not responsible for this, and your entrance fee will not be refunded.
Theft/Damage of Personal Property: Arts Trussville is not responsible for the theft or damage of any of the art or personal property
Silent Auction: Artists will be notified of an opportunity to donate a work of art to a silent auction tent. The works will be auctioned during the event, and proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
Judging/Prizes: A team of three jurors, respected experts in 2D and 3D art, will be enlisted to judge. Sponsors within the Arts Community and the Gateway Entertainment District will be given opportunities to sponsor prizes to winning artists bearing their business name.
Participating artists will be given custom-designed tote bags containing coupons, merchandise donated by district businesses, and water and snacks. These bags, notecards, and other merchandise will also be available to visitors to the show in exchange for designated donations to Arts Trussville.
Hold Harmless Clause: As a participant in the Gateway Art Show, I agree to hold harmless Arts Trussville from any claims, lawsuits, demands, causes of action, liability, loss, damage, and injury of any kind whatsoever.
